Good food for your family

Our customers say their children eat our meat without the arguments. Our beef tastes like beef should. Imagine, no more tantrums at the dinner table!

With a family of four young kids, good nutrition and health is important to me. When I was searching for good quality, ethically produced, nutritious meats to buy I realised how hard they were to find. That is why I am proud and excited to offer our export quality beef to the domestic market and feed Aussie families just like ours.

A long family history in beef and butchery

The Douglass family were some of the earliest settlers in our area and had the largest privately owned slaughterhouse in Queensland still operating up until the 1980s.

We have a long family history of producing and processing high quality beef. As a fourth generation pasturalist, and coming from a long line of butchers, Glenn's generational knowledge comes in handy to produce top quality beef. Good taste and texture is important to us and we work hard to make your beef the best it can be with no added hormones, antibiotics or growth promotants.

Minimal inputs and low-stress handling

It's important to us that our animals have happy, healthy lives. They are born, raised and grown out in a low-stress environment

We are situated at the foothills of the Bunya Mountains in a cattle tick-free environment which means that we don't have to use poisonous arachnicides to treat our animals. We use minimal chemical inputs, no antibiotics, no growth promotants and no added hormones. Our animals are all handled using low-stress techniques for their whole lives to ensure happy, healthy cattle and delicious beef.

Environmentally Sustainable Production

Good environmental values also contribute to healthy soils and animal nutrition

Having rich, healthy pastures is dependent on good quality soils. As grass farmers we consider our soils to be of utmost importance which is why we take a biological approach to our farming. We are also pro-actively working towards a fully regenerative approach. Over the last several years we have planted over 12,000 trees to assist with habitat connectivity and improving land values.

Better nutrition

Only 100% grassfed beef has the same nutritional benefits. Animals fed grain lose their grassfed nutritional advantage

Grassfed beef not only tastes much better than feedlot, industrialised beef, but it is also much better for you. It is richer in Omega 3s and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and much lower in monounsaturated fats. Grassfed beef also contains higher levels of vitamins A & E, and anti-oxidants.
